lets see, been doing stuff around the house, doing stuffs at the gallery, doing art, making videos, ignoring the blog'ages. Le Sigh

It's like I can only focus on a couple / three things at a time and not all the things I want to need to do. Like I hardly get on the twitter or facebook when I'm filming videos and I miss my online Arting community . . . the chat'age and whatnot'age

it feels like I'm doing so much and then it feels like I got nothing done. . . time is just so confusing

New Cutter

Yep a new cutter is on it’s to my studio and I had to straighten up so I could try to inch out a wee bit o’space.  It’s big and heavy and needs a permanent home, so I’ve learned from ArmyMom Linda.

I actually organized my new dies . . . the term new is used loosely to represent the ones I have collected and haven’t organized, they are really not new. . . ummm lol?

The green basket has all my napkins in it and as y’all know I made a napkin journal which I’m adding to little by little. As I add a napkin to the journal I keep two of the same then put the rest in a bag for trading at some point.

The pile o’stencils are new’ish, these are the ones I have not used as of yet. As I use them they will go into the stencil bag thingy. . . a 12 x 12 scrapbook paper carrier. They are mostly from Tuesday Morning (store) and my newest ones are some of Patti Tolley Parrish’s new releases.

I picked up the pile o’paper scrapes and shoved ‘em in a box(es) to be dealt with at a later date . . . or so I want us to believe. Well I some excuses good reasons, the Wednesday journaling group is now the Creative Circle group and because I really enjoy art’ing with people I’m doing what the group as a whole decides to do. . . for the next month (more or less) we are doing Clay stuffs. Paper clay, polymer clay. We made handmade silicone molds at the first meeting, lol for the second one I was told I had to make a project with said molded thing. . . I did a Tool Can

Our fearless bossy leader told us all to do a Shrine so I’ll get to that after I make another Tool Can (video to come) {cross fingers}. . .I also have a how to video coming about silicone mold making. And another one about a 3D block piece. . . did I mention I’m also working on face #7 in my Two-29 Series, yep that too. All projects are started and procrastination has set in . . . hence this blog post. . .

I won’t mention the workshop I’m teaching and the art show (I'm at as this post goes live) and the artist reception and the city event . . . maybe it’s not procrastination, huh, could be excited nerves.

Trying to

get back into the swing o’things. . . like posting here. I have been filming and have them scheduled. Why schedule you may ask, well because I don’t feel pressured to get something done. I know weird, because I do the YouTube thing for my enjoyment and because I want to share and inspire y’all. I can’t explain why I sometimes feel pressed about it, but I do and the way around that is to schedule. Le Sigh – it works for me

I have been crazy busy and tired and all manner of junk. . .

ignoring the blog was easy peasy . . .

the new children Champ and Molly are also part of the crazy busy. I mean really I have not even gotten to go to the studio since before vacation . . . ahhhh vacation


so um yeah nothing to report well that is not so true this is a READ ALL ABOUT MY MONDAY HERE so umm yeah

today Monday 10-27-14 I had a few things to take care and then I was going to studio BUT ummm no the Universe had a better plan for me so while I was out DUE TO THE FACT THAT my internet provider decided to "upgrade" their carp I did not have any warning of. I reset the router twice and restarted BEFORE I called 'em. . . oh says the lady in Service you need to bring in that router and pick up a new one. I had no plans on going out (studio was calling) but ok I can do that and I can check the mail and go to the dollar store that I was planning on doing tomorrow. Lady at the provider said call this number (on the box) after you plug it all in. Ok I can do that (duh) and . . .

ummm NO - the girl on the phone repeatedly said sorry I need to research that AND AFTER AN HOUR AND A HALF ( 1 1/2) she said there must be something wrong bring that "new" router take if back and trade it for an other. . . "service" must not have set something up correctly. I asked to be connected to Service and that woman said Oh they (lady at the providers) gave you the wrong router. NOW up until then I had been very CHILL-AX really. NOW NOT CHILL and still I had to go back and get the "correct new router" then um YES call again blah blah blah. . .

ok New new router hooked up, called (new girl) and after an other hour on the phone it's working. Then I had to Reset all the wireless carp (printer is still NOT working) unless you are on their Internet Printing Site ( not dealing with that today)

So on the way from provider to post office I had a DEER RUN out in front of me, so I practically stop glance up in the woods to see if there were more and I spotted a Road Runner. WEIRD I tell ya. The dollar store had half of what I wanted.

I have not had a "MONDAY" since I don't know when.

The Big NEWS

Ok y’all are not gonna believe this, but it’s true…the universe is just so funny and quicker than you might think or even hope on the occasion that you are “thinking” about doing or maybe just maybe you start thinking you might want something. . . case in point member last week when I posted this, well at that very moment (I’m telling ya you’re not gonna believe it) my Johnny was heart struck and rescued a puppy.

Ok so a guy that works for him, rescued a puppy that had just been dumped at a gas station, Brody (the guy) took the puppy to work thinking someone there would maybe save said puppy form the death chamber. And my Johnny said, you can put him in my office till someone takes him. LOL Johnny feed the puppy and y’all know what happens when ya do that.

Said puppy, prolly a Lab mix came home with Johnny. The black / chocolate puppy has lanky legs and big feet, and floppy over ears and the cute’est puppy dog eyes. He also has a star of white on his chest and so therefore his name is Champ. Yes it could have been Lucky or Chance but Champ is what has stuck.

And today having taken Champ to the Vet, to find out if he was healthy, of which he was deemed as being . . . he now has a home. Did I mention that I had already bought him a couple little toys plus the much needed chewy bone. After a couple of days here, he started holding up his tail and wagging it, as of this time I am the only one who has heard him bark. 

Oh his birthday has been appointed as being on or near June 6, so y’all may as well know that there will be Champ updates from time to time because he has stolen my heart too.

I'm laughing

over here, on accounta it's been F O R E V E R (seems like) since I posted. . . well ok so it's been a month. What have I been doing besides entertaining grand kids, mowing the yard, meditating, making videos, making messes, the typical cleaning, cooking and laundry service that I do for my family, thinking about dogs (getting one / two - one day). . .

nothing lol that's why I'm laughing. It seems like I have been crazy busy but when I think about it it seems like I've been doing nothing. Well maybe I had a nap or two, had a few headache days (on mowing days)  from too much heat and mowing and edging and cleaning the neighbors weeds off the fence gagh.

here is the really REALLY WEIRD thing that has happen with me a couple of weeks ago. One day I woke up and coffee smelled bad and coffee tasted bad and made me feel like I was gonna up a chuck!. This is totally crazy weird I mean I love(d) coffee been drinking it since I was 11 (that's a few years y'all)  and now I'm not sure what to do in the mornings. I mean my body is fine without coffee, but it is sorta freaking me out mentally y'all. . . I can't explain it.

If y'all want to find some pretty flowers to take pictures of and you don't have 'em in your yard why not visit a nursery ya know a flower growing place. That's what we did a couple weekends ago.

New Post

Carp y'all it's summer time (hot & humid in a normal sort of way) here. And I noticed that I have not (hadn't) done a post on my blog for a while (I really don' t know how long it's been so ummm maybe not that long)

Um what's been going on with me you may ask (I'll wait while you ask)

well go ahead and ask

Umm yeah, well. Nothing much. Two of my daughter Erin's kids have been here for a few days a piece. But I think Nanna was just too much of a personality for them to handle and they went home. Well even I have to admit that I'm pretty . . . um I'm a lot to take in. Yeah that's it, I won't mention how boring it is for thirteen year olds. I mean really I have old "classic" music on the phonograph, a telephone that is attached to the kitchen wall, a 19 inch black and white TV. . . No, that's not true. lol

We have color TV with cable it's gotta be a like 99 inch screen or something, the HiFi is cool  and contains an eclectic mix of genres BUT we don't have any Bored Games.

it's all cool I post in jest or is that gest or is that just because I wanted a New Post and that's really it. I've been hanging around the studio, goofing with this and that, meditating, cleaning house (cause I'm not strong enough to pick it up), mowing the yard (a lot) drawing faces, watching my friends on the UStream and YouTube and the Twitter and the Facebook. Spending time with my Johnny holding hands on the couch or walking or laughing or eating. and umm

As I was getting my coffee this morning

I heard a horrible news story. Due to the recent severe storms in the area many peoples were without electricity.  What? says I, 'My dear friends can't have coffee!' So I donned my super cape. Well all we Moms and Nanas wear them all the time. . . but this particular crisis called for Super Neighbor Powers . . .

So off I flew

and now that all my Peoples have their coffee I can relax and enjoy my third forth fifth cuppa {well who's counting anyway }with the personal satisfaction that I saved the day . . . again

I did IT!

and all by myself too.

So the story goes my husband broke my studio door knob. Well not on purpose. See I drug him out to look at the big painting I have being working on and off and on, because I like it again, so he had to see it. Half the door knob fell into his hand while shutting the door. It was so funny, the look on his face (not the painting) and the thing in his hand.

I picked up a fancy new handle (knob) it sort of matches the one on the bathroom door in the studio. 

And I put it on the purple door, so what if it took me about an hour of sweating. Oh and I also fixed the door so that it closes like it should have, but never did. I shimmed out the bottom door hinge and the latch / plunger thing clicks into place and the dead bolt latches without having to lift up’ish on the door knob. Maybe this one will last more than three years.

I did not cuss at all – I’m doing pretty good at not becoming angry…that is something I’m releasing into the light. My main focus now is becoming agreeable, err to accept success within me. I know weird to actually acknowledge and confess that one undermines self. Silly inner critic – there is no reason NO reason at all to not be successful. After all people like me and I like people.

Positive affirmations are my friend and yours too. Oh it takes some practice to think in positive terms, so don’t be too hard on yourself…after all we have had our whole lifetimes learning to be negative. 

About the Crownage

This is in regards to a comment I made in the chat at Dede's (inkwell) Ustream...

'I bought my crown on clearance.'

I just want to say that it is true. My first crown was a gift from the King (my husband :-D) and one day while I was out shopping I spied a rack. And upon this fabled rack lay my new Crown all jewely and sparklely and said rack was for clearance.

This is Me with my Clearance Crown on my head and my Old, but still much loved, crown in hand. Now don't worry my people...you may one day come across a Crown Clearance too and when you do -

What is a crown good for you may ask, huh - well they are super for wearing while you vacuum or sweep or for doing the dishes. There is much Power in wearing a crown! However one should not wear their "priceless" crown while cleaning the bathroom as it could slip from your head and into the potty. Now that would not be nice.
