For me, brought home by my husband, it is from Rose Krupa,
she has 83 years of experienced living. I only mention her age because she is
proud to be 83. My husband tells me Rose has arthritis and began making these
UpCycled bags when she accompanied her husband, Frank, to doctor and hospital
visits. She crocheted many bags during the 8 year period of Frank’s battle with
cancer, he has gone home now but Rose still works on. Making bags from bags and
the one she gifted to me is number 2,080. I am delighted to own it.
Rose is not the first person to crochet with plastic
shopping and bread bags, but she has proved herself dedicated to the task…if in
doubt see the above number. This handy bag will carry my books and art’in pro
jects as needed from time to time. Rose told my husband it is washable and that she
is pleased to be able to share it with me.
Rose is a long time quilter as well and mentioned that
she won a ribbon at the Houston International Quilt Festival in 1974. She has made quilts for charity auctions that
have sold for upwards of $5,000.oo and she is a very lovely woman who keeps
track of the items she makes and gifts to super & duper lucky people like
me.
Thank you very much Rose you’re awesome and the world is
a much sweeter place with you in it. {{{hugs}}}
