so I ordered a Patti Tolley Parrish Stencil from iStencils and as was promised in the unveiling stream I got a free stencil. (that offer is over sorry) But any who my order came really fast - thanks iStencils and Patti for the sweet free stencil. !! Love IT!!

I have finally gotten a little smart {just a little}and I made notes on some of the pulls and finished pieces, so I can sorta recreate 'em. LOL as if {but I did say sorta} I suppose that means I should make a journal / note book of sorts to put notes / example pulls in. {that would be smart} Because one day maybe I can be a little like Patti Tolley Parrish {I love how she says that}

now back to my, So anyways I got my Gelli on the other day and these are a few of my favorites from that session. I'm gonna number label 'em for references if you're interested. {If not I'll never know as long as you Don't tell me} Yes photo rich - Eye candy {for me} and maybe you too.

#1 has the same colors as #5 Except I added a layer

of Iridescent medium with a few drops of a bright orange wash

#2 Clean up pull after doing a Poppa* black on #1

I let the black dry then used a metallic Silver to do the clean up pull

#3 hubby called it Dinosaur skin; pale blue was lifted

from the Gelli plate with zig zag fun foam (stamped on #8)

let it dry then used pale tan as a clean up pull

#4 this is the page that I laid the stencils on to clean the paint

 from them, then added dot'age

#5 same colors as #1 only no iridescent or wash

#6 this is a 6 x 6 stencil that I used a few times

for an all over Poppa* 

#7 no special notes on this one {shrug} just like it

#8 bottom layer is ghost print (greens) from the crackle stencil

next layer is pale blue stamped ziz zag fun foam from #3

the Poppa* is 6 x 6  Outback Bullseye repeated

*Poppa is a term first used by Patti {as far as I know) for adding a Pop of black. This Poppa can really zest up a print.

I also really like my Brayer Off pages. That's what I call the process of rolling the excess paint off the brayer {thus cleaning the brayer}

Would you believe

I won! I have been entering these Blog Hops for what seems like F O R E V E R and Lisa over at AtistCellar said I won, because I was one of the few that actually followed directions on entering (just saying people). I am so blessed. Thank you Thank you!!!

I was excited to get the news and to get them in my mailbox so as soon as I could – to the studio with me. I love my other stencils from ArtistCellar too, just saying. 

First I did a few pulls from the ol’ Gelli Arts printing plate (thanks again Jess) then I took one of the stencils from the Jane Girls Petite Series, Jane Davenport and a sheet of deli paper. I then did the pounce tech with a makeup sponge to stencil the lovely face on deli wrap paper using dark brown craft paint. L O V E how she came out. Actually I used all the stencils the same way, some on plain deli paper and some on Gelli printed deli paper. I really like how the deli paper handles with the Gelli and yet the edges practically disappears when applied on a background.

But what good are faces alone . . .

Enter my take on the envelope journal. I’m sure this will make a certain someone happy to receive.

Got my Gelli on today. yep, gelli'd while Jess Card'd, gelli'd while trying to trickerhead, gelli'd while Dede show haul'age (if you call PL stuffs haul'age), gelli'd while Dede did some cool art. Then I got tired and stopped and took some photos

I don't know why I did double sided????? It makes it hard to pick a side to do something with. . . well unless one side is ugly and that can happen .... maybe not this time but it has before. And that's it, just gell'n with my gelli'd papers

Gelli 'ing and Carve 'ing

Yep I got that stamp carving bug and did a couple of ‘em. Only showing y’all one here {well I need to save something for surprise} I call her The Feminine. She was inspired by a little poem I wrote last month, by the same name even. And because I got my Gelli on recently I had an idea to combine them. . . not for a card or a journal in this case but for Tag’age. Like I said in my last post here, I was able to get some gelli prints pulled on card stock. After making 13 greeting cards I thought - humm I have these loverly doubled sided pulls and that’s where the Tags come in.

I used the top off of a ToGo food box to mark the Gelli Plate.

I pulled my prints on regular card stock 8 ½ x 11”. I cut them in half lengthwise, trimmed the edges so they measure 3 ½”. Well I have to have them fit in regular letter size envelopes ya know. I folded the bottom up for the same reason. Used my fancy smanchy hand carved stamp, cut around her, glued her to a bit of colored card stock before gluing her on the tag. Printed out my poem and glued that inside. Of course I added ribbon’age. The back has a short greeting and my info, sort of like you would put on an ATC. . .

Hummmm ATCs well maybe some another time

Following links about the ol’ Gelli Plate and I found this, ok, ok so I knew about Carolyn Dube already cause I follow her on the YouTube. But anyways the party is on and I actually had a tad bit of time at home and man o man I took advantage of it too. . .

To the studio, I said to me!

I enjoyed a couple / few hours with my Gelli and turned a couple of my prints into cards. And the way I cut ‘em up I got a lot of cards from two 8 ½ x 11" sized cardstock pulls. Of course I’m not really a true “Card Maker” but if the Gelli can make my little 3 ½ x 5 ½” cards look this great I can only image what y’all Real Card Makers could do.
