! ITALY !

I know so many great Artists and Landmarks and Scenery and Food and everything under the Tuscan Sun. {insert laughter} to pick from

…And I chose to copy a painting by a Frenchman {nutzoid}, but in my defense there was something more than just its title that drew me in. I think the colors and her posture … and a bit of that whole unfinished look excited my Muse. Here is a link to the critique I that I liked best… yeah a picture can paint a thousand words blah blah blah but a review can wield stories and opinions infinite... In my OPINION when a piece of Art - be it a painting, sculpture or writing makes You feel, think or question - IT has succeeded in connecting You to everything possible.

From Liz to Allen: Acrylic Paint, Graphite

and it reads

Dear Allen

I can’t help but feel sad over your disbelief of love, sole mates & most especially for your cracked heart. I hope you’ve found a way to repair it. I’m in Italy & the weather is beautiful …painted this “The Italian Woman” sort of like Matisse did. Is the Wall taking her Or is she fading into it?

Hugs, Liz

ps il vino é straordinario

I don’t know if y’all have been following their story or not, but it seems to me Liz is blooming.

Happy Art’ing Y’all

Your painting is superb, a much nicer looking Italian woman than Matisse's I must say! I think she is being devoured by the wall.
