!?Cuba?!

I’ll be honest by saying that I don’t know much about Cuba other than they are famous for Cigars and Missiles (argh! Those drills as a kid)… but being a fun traveler I did the ever popular google search and Ta Dah thanks to Darcy of Art & Sole I found this Artist Amelia Pelàez, who inspired this week’s Postcard it is

From Allen to Liz – background spritz with Perfect Pearls, drawn in graphite then painted with acrylics

And it reads:

Miss Liz E. Woods

Arm is doing well. I’m almost liking my “leisure” time. Ok it has its moments like when I was able to doodle this tribute to Cuban artist, Amelia Pelàez.
Scary old castles & ghosts & such, but I will admit I did get a good belly laugh when I pictured you running out into the night…arms waving about, hair blowing wildly, perhaps a scream echoing behind you.
When you wrote of “he” & “him” does that mean you have met a man? If so I trust you are being careful not to get too involved after all you are in a vulnerable state of heart.

All my best
Allen Bell

Humm is about all I can say about his reply.

Happy Art’ing y’all

Thanks for including the artist's link- her art is FUN. I'm learning more about Cuba than I thought possible (because like you, I thought it was just missiles and cigars!)

Me and him were talking about air raid sirens in the days of the cold war Nuclear threat we had in England (we were told Russia would destroy us any day - Protect and Survive was the motto)

scary times,

glad i'm not in Syria...
