The Netherlands

Picture if you will a wee little Dutch boy with his finger in the dike or some cute’ish type girl with her blue dress and brilliant white apron, lil’ braids topped with a crisp bonnet. Well those did not make it onto my Postcard {insert sad face}. But what about those quaint windmills…ah forget about it … As you can see I went with the standard Tulip look because this week brings Allen’s reply to Liz’s chewing out, so you see flowers were very much called for.

It looks as if there was a delay in the postal system with Liz’s apology to Allen. And here we go…

Postcard #11 Allen to Liz – The Netherlands: acrylic paint background with white tissue paper “clouds”, collaged Tulips done with watercolor crayons

And it reads…

Miss Liz E. Woods

I apologize for my boy’ish remarks. I offer no excuse other than I am what I am. I truly hope you are being safe for your own well being &; not because of any chauvinistic tendencies I may exhibit while in an altered state of mind. R.H. has assured me that the lawn will not go wild again, it was some sort of communication error with the gardener. Again my apologies. I look forward to hearing from you in hopes of continuing our correspondence.

All my best Allen Bell

Thanks to Darcy over at Art & Sole for hosting this fun weekly challenge. Please pop over to see the awesome art and the on going stories of all my fellow postcard travelers.

Brilliant tulips - I like how some of their petals are flopping. My tulips always get floppy petals really quickly :o(
