Connie asked the following questions:

How long have you been Art Journaling? A very short time really. I have been looking at other people's for quite a while. My first journal was in March of this year. I'm very happy with the results and have recently started another one Royal Decree (because that is the name on the cover of the store bought note pad)

How has Art Journaling impacted, changed or enhanced your life? It has enabled me to do quick little pieces of art that I don't have to think about and that has opened a new outlet for me. I also see where it can be very handy for trying out new techniques and a way of working out a layout/design for a larger piece or even inspiration for one.

What are a few of your favorite Art Journaling materials? Gesso, gesso for everything (almost), acrylic paints, stamps, pens and paper - oh yes paper

Who are some of your favorite Art Journalers? Off the top of my head I'd have to pick Karin Bartimole, one of your recent interviews for the 30 days 30 journals bonanza. As well as yourself and everyone on the Art Journaling NING site. I mean really Connie how can anyone pick just a few people? There are still so many I have not meet, yet.

What kind words of encouragement would you say to an Art Journal newbie? Just jump right in there. Don't start with an empty / blank journal my tip is to pick a page at random or whichever one you like - write on that page the following "this is not a blank journal it is meant for me to art and for that reason I release myself to do so." OR just tear a bit of paper out of it and it is no longer "perfect" and thereof it's okay to mess up. Not that there are mistakes in art, just new opportunity to do something different.
